Initially, PAKU父PAYUNG that all personnel of one in 77 high schools Jakarta, and one association of nature lovers. We all like brothers, as they often get together, hanging out together and have a lifestyle and sense the same genre of Punk Rock. Personnel of the early years of '94: Teguh (Guitar, Vocals), Riky (Drums)& Anes (Bass, Vocals). In '96 there is a change formations: Anes (vocals), Riky (guitar), Allen (Bass) and Dicky (Drums). We often go to music festivals and playing at Underground events and Performing arts.
And at the end of '98 Riky (Guitar) decided to leave the band and was replaced by a Fano who was with Dicky also have a SKA PUNK band called "Cover Charge" and often so additional guitar at a gig for PAKU父PAYUNG. Formation of the year '98-00: Anes (Vocal, Guitar), Allen (Bass), Fano (Guitar), Dicky (Drums). Anes said, "This is the best formation for the musical journey PAKU父PAYUNG, I've ever felt, a new spirit, one soul, one feeling, one vision, to have harmonization, when we're together it feels like a family that has a strong brotherhood. The feeling that makes PAKU父PAYUNG formed at first and never lost their sense of selfish and the influence of drugs ... Now everything is back again and we are grateful for it all, GOD Save Us .. "
Lyrics in the PAKU父PAYUNG songs much inspired from everyday life and our personal experience, especially Anes, bored with the regulations, anti-establishment, and how the result of the influence of narcotics, alcohol which we feel at the moment. In the year 2000 this formation tries to record the songs that were created. But only 6 songs that successfully used as a demo track, because Allen and Dicky resigned from the band. Alen for reasons of work and Dicky must continue education in Switzerland.
Although only two of Anes and Fano still produce and struggling to still exist, we still playing at the Underground events and Performing arts (Colleges and Schools). At that time there has been no substitute for Alen & Dicky, but we have friends who are willing and always ready to help, there was Ryan & Kuple (Add Bass), Ovick, Oky & Uwie (Add Drums).
In the year '04: PAKU父PAYUNG abandoned for ever by Anes (RIP) which has been the leader and founder of PAKU父PAYUNG, because the pain caused by the effects of addicted to drugs before he was rehabilitated of health in 2003 and it is makes PAKU父PAYUNG vacuum for long enough.
And at that time only Fano are left of personnel in Paku父Payung, then trying to contact Alen and Dicky and invite them to re-join again for band. But Allen said it could not, and Dicky also have to go back to Canada to continued his studies and working there.
Until the end of Fano in the years '05 took his old friend Alex to fill the vocal position, vacated by Annes and together make the song " Sahabat Mabuk " along which is dedicated to Anes and our friends who have "gone" because of drug addiction. Incidentally, Dicky was on vacation from college and come back in Jakarta. Then Fano, introduces Alex to Dicky and take Session in the studio. Dicky is very pleased with the character of vocals is owned by Alex and he also likes the song " Sahabat Mabuk ", therefore we try to Record Live format, and to Bass players, filled by Kuple (Additional). Dicky is only few weeks, was in Indonesia and must be return to Canada.
Throughout the years '05 to '06 we were still frequently perform with the formation at that time Alex (Vocals Guitar), Fano (Guitar Vocals), Kuple (Bass) & Uwie (Drums). But then again, we are stalled due to busyness and egos, Kuple also not be consistent when I offer to become a fixed of personnel.
In The mid of '09, Fano contact Alex and Uwie to get together and start to rise again. And invite Bonie, to be a bass player in PAKU父PAYUNG.
And early '10 I am trying to collect demo songs that exist and we have records from the years '99 to '05, come in CD format contains 9 song (EP's) including "Sapi" with a limited amount only 100 pieces, for the purpose to devoted friends PAKU父PAYUNG out there can listen and know that the PAKU父PAYUNG is still there and had a song other than "Sapi" we have ever Record, but have not been released.
For the formation PAKU父PAYUNG today is: Alex (Vocals-Guitar), Fano (Guitar-Vocals), Bonie (Bass-Vocals) and Uwie (Drums), still survived up to now and hopefully can always still exist, creating, yelling, toasting, sing along with you guys forever, Oi !.....
